Step 7: Setting up the page
This is an optional process where you can fill out the information about your business. But it is recommended that you fill it up now. The info that you enter here will appear on the “About” page and also in the “About” section of the page’s timeline.

Check on the Yes option again. But if you are setting up a fan page for a fictional character or TV show or celebrity and aren’t the official brand representative, then this is not applicable to you.
After this is completed click on the “Save Info” button and your information will get saved.
Step 8: Add a suitable Profile Picture
Adding a suitable profile picture to your page is important. You can upload the image you want from your computer folders or you can import them from a website. One thing you need to keep in mind is that the image that you are uploading should be of at least 180 pixels wide. Only then will Facebook accept it otherwise it will be rejected.
Upload your desired image and click on the “next” button.
Step 9: Like Your Page
You will be guided through this path by Facebook itself.
The first part will direct you to the Like your page option. But if you are not set for the public to see your business page then it is best that you hold off on the Liking part. If that is the case you need to click on the “skip” button.

Step 10: Invite your contacts.
One of the best ways to score a lot of likes on your page is through inviting people in your contacts list to like it.
But if you are not ready to let the public view your page then you can just ignore this part this you are ready.
Your page is now considered as a business page by Facebook and it will encourage you to post or share something. You can start off by posting a “Welcome” image or a warm greeting. If you don’t have any people liking the page just yet, then you might have to wait till people come onto your page and like it. After that, you can post important links.
Step 12: Add a suitable cover image.
Adding a suitable cover image to your business page will make it seem very professional or in some cases friendly and inviting. Thought it is not promoted by Facebook, it is definitely important that you add a cover image. And for your cover image, it needs to have the following requirements. It needs to be of 851 pixels wide and 315 pixels tall, the size of the image should be less than 100 KB this is to get the best load time, it also should not have more than 20% text.
